Red Herbs Curry or Kanji Keerai as I know it.

I am proudly a South African Indian and our flavors are so unique. This recipe was my Grandfather's favorite food. He was a farmer who grew fresh vegetables and he was a vegetarian too. He always had the funniest stories to tell, my favorite was the story about the yellow Kanaree bird. This recipe is not for the faint, it's spice level is right up there with Nandos extra hot sauce. Give it a try if you dare.


1 Onion

2 Garlic Cloves 4-6 Green Chillies 6 Tomatoes grated

2 Bunches Red Herbs

1 Cup Boling Water Salt to taste

Method: Fry Onion, Garlic and chilies in oil Add herbs and let it cook down Top with tomatoes ,add salt and let it simmer and cook down

Add water and cook on medium heat until the water dries up

Add more water if tomatoes are not cooked.

Then mash it together with a smasher
